Wow... how should I start blasting your idea... let's see...

1) As I have said several times before, screw it if games are "kiddie;" Super Mario Sunshine is a GREAT game... it's addictive, fun, and unique... Yeah, it's kiddie... who the hell cares?! If it's a great game, it's a great game.

2) Violence is over-rated...
"Wow!!! This game is rated M. It must be gory, violent, graphic, and unappropriate in every way! Hmmmm... I'll buy it.

3) People seem to refuse to play, or even consider playing games that have no gruesome deaths in them...
"What? [I]Super Mario[/I] (fill in the rest)?! It's an original idea and has a fun factor of 9.5... but there are no whores, guts, explosive weapons, or major felonies... screw it. I want to have nothing to do with a game that can be played by all members of the family. I think I'll go play [I]Hooker Killer from Hell XVII: The Gun that Shoots Tanks[/I] instead, just like everbody else!"

This is one of the several reasons why I hate people... Here's what you do, take your head out of your ass (slowly now, it's been there for a while), try a game that has some character, and stop being some macho-man gamer.
